The Sforza Castle is one of the main symbols of Milan and its history. It was built at the behest of Galeazzo Visconti II in the second half of the fourteenth century and was rebuilt in the fifteenth century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan. Over the centuries, it has undergone considerable change. Between 1500 and 1600 It was a major military citadels in Europe.
